Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, David’s interest in visual arts was nurtured from a young age. Growing up on the golf course with his father, Savic entwined his creativity and love for the sport and embarked on a 35-year career as a Golf Course designer.
Working under some of the game’s most legendary players, Savic has designed countless award winning courses throughout his career. Drawing on his expertise in the field of design, Savic’s unique and expressive style is recognized by his vibrant, yet soft color hues; bold, clean lines, and interesting shapes.
Savic’s Abstract Expressionism style is inspired by many of the pioneers of the post WWII art movement including Lee Krasner, William DeKooning, Paul Klee and Robert Motherwell, to name a few.
Mainly using acrylic and gouache, David creates stunning statement pieces that add elevated whimsy to homes, offices and anywhere they are displayed.
David cherishes his family as much as his work. He is a father of 2 sons, each of whom have followed in his footsteps; his eldest pursuing a career in graphic design, and his youngest an accomplished golf course superintendent.
David has resided in Juno Beach, Florida since 2004, and is a Resident Artist at The Rabbit Hole Studio at Northwood Art & Music Warehouse in West Palm Beach, Florida.
